‘Angry’ father of Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool target tells son to ‘leave’ Barcelona ‘tomorrow’

Ansu Fati’s father advised him to leave Barcelona because he “deserves far better” than how manager Xavi is now treating him.

The youthful forward has made 14 league outings as a substitute while the Spanish international has earned nine starts for the Catalan giants this season.

Since making his debut at the club, Fati has experienced injury problems; but, this season, he has played over three times as many minutes on the pitch as he did previously.

Despite the fact that Fati has made 23 appearances in La Liga and has contributed three goals and three assists, his “extremely upset” father feels that he hasn’t played enough and is now urging him to leave Barcelona.

According to Bori Fati, “Ansu does not want to leave Barcelona, but I want to see him flourish.”

“I won’t visit the stadium any more; I’m furious with the team. We will undoubtedly meet Jorge Mendes in a month.

“I find it disappointing that Ansu plays so rarely. We are discussing a player who represents Spain internationally and is a La Masia native. He is entitled to much more.

“I’m puzzled as to why Xavi does not portray Ansu. He must have motives. Given that Xavi has always been his hero, Ansu is not repulsed by him. But me… As a father, I’m quite enraged.

“Mateu Alemany informs me that Ansu is a legacy of the club. As a father, I have advised Ansu that leaving would be in his best interests. Ansu, however, has informed me that he disagrees with me on this. He desires to remain.

“I would leave Barcelona tomorrow if it were up to me. Ansu disputes what I said when I said that if things didn’t improve, we would have to leave.

According to a recent rumour, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool were all connected to the sale of Fati by Barcelona during the summer transfer window in order to raise money for fresh acquisitions.

Despite Barcelona manager Xavi’s insistence that Fati was not for sale, CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs recently considered Fati’s prospective suitors.

Jacobs said: “At this stage, we have Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal as the three Premier League clubs who are doing due diligence on Fati via the player side.

“I don’t believe the connections to Bayern Munich are as significant. Since Fati is far down the list of players Barcelona wants to sell, it would likely take a club-record offer for these teams to convince Barcelona to change its mind. However, there is at least some encouragement from the player’s perspective that he is intrigued by the Premier League club. However, Xavi and Joan Laporta continue to be strongly discouraging.

“Fati might also be included if, in May, he still feels that he is entitled to additional playing time.

It’s also important to point out that Manchester United, who supported Fati when he was a youth a few years ago, is the team having a specific historical interest in him.

But, until the ownership issue of the club is clarified, Erik ten Hag and the recruitment staff are unable to make a decision even if they like the player.
