Real-world fuel economy ratings for the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 were released.

Maruti Suzuki has sold more than 40 lakh units of the ‘Alto’ brand in India. This includes the Alto 800 and Alto K10, which are both regarded as “value-for-money” and economical vehicles. Currently, the updated Alto K10 in its current-generation guise was introduced in India in August 2022, and it continues this legacy as described in our most recent road test.

The automaker equipped the Alto K10 with a 1.0-liter, 66-bhp K10C engine that can be mated to either an automatic gearbox or a five-speed manual gearbox. Although a CNG version is also offered, in this article we will only focus on the manual version’s actual fuel efficiency. It has an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 24.39 kmpl.

City Fuel Efficient

The Alto K10 used 5.66 litres of gas to travel 82.1 kilometres along our selected test route. It delivered 14.5 kmpl inside the city as a result.

road fuel efficiency

On the highway, the K10 consumed less fuel, or 3.87 litres over an 84.4-kilometer journey. Accordingly, the car’s better fuel economy of 21.8 kmpl on the highway run was as anticipated.

With a gasoline tank capacity of 27 litres and an average mileage of 15.43 km/l, the Alto K10 has a driving range of roughly 416 kilometres. Even though the tested figures aren’t drastically different from the claimed figures, it should be noted that our tests were conducted for all cars in actual driving conditions, as opposed to the claimed figures’ ideal conditions. These tested figures give you a reasonable estimate of what you may reasonably anticipate from your car.
